Did you know that smudging your environment not only changes the space energetically, research has shown that smudging with sage actually reduces over 94% of harmful airborne bacteria from the air!

It disinfects the space for up to 24 hours and aside from air purity, there are many more benefits from these sacred medicines.
What is smudging?
Used for medicinal, spiritual, and practical purposes, it is a cultural ceremonial practice of burning sacred herbs or resins.
For practical use of cleansing the air in your home, simply light your smudge stick and move it around your room/home being sure to get the corners. For safety, always have something underneath to catch any embers that may fall, like a shell or small bowl.
HOT TIP – for spiritual practice, it’s important not to blow on the smudge after you light it, this will ‘blow away the blessing’, instead move it around in circles or fan it with your hand or a feather.
I’ve started a new program studying Indigenous Plant Medicines of the Rainforest, which I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. I’m feeling called to plants, their spirits, and how they can support healing. I’m looking forward to having a deeper understanding and bringing this into my practice.
Each smudge carries with it different healing properties, and I intuitively connect with and select which one is needed in treatment.
